Pharmacy Technician

Requirements

• Certified Pharmacy Technician license or registration as required by state regulations
• Prior experience in retail pharmacy setting preferred
• Knowledge of pharmacy software systems and medication management
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in compounding and dispensing
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks
• Understanding of pharmacy laws, regulations, and safety procedures
• Must hold current Utah Pharmacist License and be able to practice in the State of Utah with no restrictions.
• Must hold current Utah Controlled Substance Pharmacist License and be able to practice in the State of Utah with no restrictions.
• Must be knowledgeable of current State and Federal regulations and statutes regarding the practice of pharmacy and the distribution, dispensing of medications including, but not limited to legend drugs, Over the counter (OTC) medications, controlled substances, hazardous drugs, and investigation medications.

Responsibilities

• Assist pharmacists in dispensing prescription medications accurately and efficiently
• Manage inventory, stock supplies, and ensure proper storage of pharmaceuticals
• Provide excellent customer service by answering questions and offering medication guidance
• Prepare and compound medications in accordance with established protocols and safety standards
• Maintain accurate records of prescriptions, compounding activities, and inventory transactions
• Comply with all legal, regulatory, and safety requirements related to pharmacy operations
