About The Position
Walgreens is seeking a Pharmacist to provide patient-focused pharmacy and healthcare services. Pharmacists serve as medication experts and trusted healthcare providers, consulting with patients, delivering clinical services, and ensuring safe and compliant medication handling. The role includes opportunities to develop professionally and advance into leadership positions. Flexible scheduling options are available. The position requires a pharmacy degree from an accredited institution, current pharmacist licensure in the states within the district, and immunizer certification or willingness to become certified within 90 days of hire. Retail pharmacist experience is preferred.
Requirements
- BS in Pharmacy or Pharmacist Degree from an accredited educational institution.
- Current pharmacist licensure in the states within the district.
- Certified Immunizer or willing to become an immunizer within 90 days of hire.
Nice To Haves
- At least 1 year of experience as a pharmacist in a retail setting, including prescription filling and verification, records and legal compliance, pharmacy operations, pharmacy software and technology systems, and insurance.
Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, expert-level pharmacy consulting services to patients.
- Educate and consult patients on medication usage, side effects, and cost-effective options.
- Deliver clinical healthcare services, including immunizations, diagnostic testing, and medication therapy management.
- Ensure medication safety through accurate compounding, dispensing, and regulatory compliance.
- Mentor and train pharmacy team members in a collaborative and supportive environment.
