About The Position

The role of a Pharmacist is to prepare medications according to prescriptions, provide drug information, manage inventory, and prepare reports on medication usage. This position requires maintaining all necessary licenses and certifications to lawfully perform these services.

Requirements

• Must maintain all licenses required to lawfully perform the Pharmacist services and ensure they remain current
• Maintain current, active, and unrestricted licenses in the State of Utah applicable to pharmacists
• Maintain a valid Utah Controlled Substance License and Drug Enforcement Administration certification with no disciplinary actions

Responsibilities

• Prepare medications according to prescriptions written by authorized medical practitioners
• Provide drug information and consultation to physicians, nurses, patients, and other clinical staff
• Order and maintain a secure inventory of drugs, chemicals, and controlled substances
• Fill and refill prescriptions as authorized
• Prepare reports on medication and drug usage patterns
• Perform other pharmaceutical tasks assigned by DHHS staff
