About The Position

AAMC Pharmacy Services is seeking a Pharmacist for their Resource Pool. This role involves providing pharmacy services within a hospital setting.

Requirements

• Graduate from an accredited School of Pharmacy.
• Licensed to practice in South Carolina.
• Licensed and in good standing status by the South Carolina Board of Pharmacy to practice as a pharmacist or board eligible.
• If board eligible, must obtain South Carolina pharmacist license within 3 months of hire.
• May have irregular hours and long periods of standing and walking.
• Possible exposure to communicable diseases, body fluids, toxic substances, ionizing radiation, medicinal preparations, combative patients and other conditions common to a hospital environment.
• May be exposed to infectious specimens, diseases, but personal harm or injury to self or others is limited when proper safety and health precautions are followed.
• Able to maintain emotional stability under stressful and complicated situations.
• External applicants, as well as position incumbents who become disabled, must be able to perform the essential functions, either unaided or with the assistance of a reasonable accommodation to be determined on a case by case basis.

Nice To Haves

• Prior training hospital pharmacy preferred.
• Special courses in IV admixture/compatibility are desired.
