About The Position

Wellington Regional Medical Center is seeking a full-time Pharmacist to provide comprehensive pharmaceutical care. This role involves integrated drug distribution, patient counseling, and teaching. The Pharmacist will fill medication orders, monitor patient drug therapies, provide drug information, and supervise supportive staff. In the absence of the Director of Pharmacy, the Pharmacist may be required to assume their duties. The position also requires recognizing and responding to stroke alerts, including verbalizing the stroke alert process and maintaining current knowledge through annual training. Requirements

Current pharmacist license in the State of Florida.
Bachelor’s Degree in Pharmacy (B.S. Pharm.) required.
Experience in acute care setting required.

Nice To Haves

Doctor of Pharmacy Degree (Pharm.D.) preferred.

Responsibilities

Provides comprehensive pharmaceutical care through integrated drug distribution, patient counseling and teaching.
Fills orders for medications.
Monitors patient’s drug therapies.
Provides drug information.
Supervises and directs supportive staff.
In the absence of the Director of Pharmacy, may be required to assume the essential responsibilities and perform the duties of the Director of Pharmacy.
Recognizes the signs and symptoms of stroke and calling a stroke alert overhead.
Verbalizes stroke alert process.
Maintains currency in stroke knowledge by completing the annual 1 hour online training.
