About The Position

HSHS St. Joseph's Hospital in Breese is seeking a Pharmacist to join our team. The Pharmacist acts as a liaison between allied health professionals and registered nurses in providing accurate and rational drug therapy to patients upon receipt of an allied health professional's order. They review orders for dosing accuracy, drug selection, drug interactions, allergies, and appropriateness. The role also serves as a medical team consultant by participating in multidisciplinary rounds, committees, and workgroups, and provides drug information to allied health professionals, nurses, patients, and the general public.

Requirements

  • Meets educational requirements established in the state of practice
  • Graduate of accredited Pharmacy program; eligible for Pharmacist licensure in state of practice.
  • Licensed Pharmacist in the state of practice or is eligible to apply for pharmacy board exam/state of practice licensure is required.
  • If not currently a Licensed Pharmacist in state of practice, must obtain within 180 days of hire.
