About The Position

We are seeking a skilled Clinical Pharmacist to provide distribution and clinical pharmacy services for patients of Cherry Hospital and Walter B. Jones Center in accordance with all state and federal laws, rules, regulations and guidelines and in compliance with CMS, TJC and DHHS. The position will provide pharmacy consulting in the areas of drug information, pharmacokinetics, polypharmacy, drug therapy, and direct patient education. Position is a mix of distributive and clinical functions. The position reports to the Pharmacy Director and works directly with a team of approximately 20 associates. The work schedule for this position will be flexible. It will require some limited weekend, night, and on-call responsibilities (approximately one week out of every nine weeks). Requirements

Licensed to practice pharmacy in the State of North Carolina.

Responsibilities

Provide distribution and clinical pharmacy services for patients of Cherry Hospital and Walter B. Jones Center.
Provide pharmacy consulting in the areas of drug information, pharmacokinetics, polypharmacy, drug therapy, and direct patient education.
Review, prepare and dispense medication orders.
Effectively communicate medication information to patients, peers, and other staff members, particularly medical providers and nursing staff.
