About The Position
Ascension Sacred Heart Bay is seeking a full-time Pharmacist to join their Pharmacy department in Panama City, FL. This role involves rotating shifts and offers an opportunity to make a significant impact on patient care through medication management and collaboration with the healthcare team.
Requirements
- Licensed Pharmacist credentialed from the Florida Board of Pharmacy obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.
- Valid state license required specific to the state in which the associate works.
- Bachelor's or advanced degree in Pharmacy required.
Responsibilities
- Review and verify medication orders to ensure appropriate selection, dosing, administration, and safe delivery to patients.
- Identify and resolve potential medication-related concerns by collaborating with physicians, nurses, and other members of the care team.
- Prepare, compound, and dispense medications accurately to support timely and effective patient treatment.
- Provide drug information and patient counseling to promote medication safety, understanding, and adherence.
- Guide pharmacy technicians and support pharmacy learners to maintain efficient operations, quality standards, and professional development.
