About The Position

Neighbourly Pharmacy is seeking a Full-Time Pharmacist to join their team at Carbonear Remedy's Rx in Carbonear, NL. This role is centered on delivering patient-focused care, including clinical services, medication management, and patient counseling. The successful candidate will also be responsible for administering vaccines, supervising pharmacy students, ensuring regulatory compliance, and collaborating with other healthcare professionals to enhance patient outcomes. Requirements

  • Licensed and in good standing with the College of Pharmacy of Newfoundland and Labrador
  • Injection certification is required
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently
  • Collaborative mindset with the ability to thrive in a team environment

Responsibilities

  • Deliver clinical services such as medication reviews, chronic disease management and care plan development.
  • Administer vaccines and immunizations
  • Determine appropriateness of drug therapy and monitor for effectiveness, side effects, and interactions
  • Counsel patients on prescriptions, over-the-counter products, and health-related topics, including indications, contraindication, side effects, and proper usage and storage
  • Supervise pharmacy students or provisional pharmacists in performing restricted activities
  • Ensure compliance with all federal, provincial, and regulatory standards governing pharmacy practice
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to optimize patient outcomes
  • Assist with daily pharmacy operations and perform other duties as assigned
