About The Position

PharmcareUSA is seeking a Registered Pharmacist to join their team. This is an opportunity to move beyond the daily grind and find something new and exciting. PharmcareUSA is a growing, privately operated National LTC pharmacy provider operated by pharmacists. They are looking for an energetic, patient-caring, critical-thinking individual with strong written and verbal communication skills. The ideal candidate will be someone who desires to organize, lead, and manage when called upon. PharmcareUSA is a national, closed-door, long-term care pharmacy business with locations in multiple states, providing daily medication deliveries and consulting services to nursing and assisted living facilities as well as hospice residents. They are passionate about their work and are looking for staff with the same attitude, striving to take care of their staff as well as their customers.

Requirements

  • Must be able to routinely use standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.
  • Must be able to constantly operate a computer and other office equipment up to 100% of the time.
  • Regularly required to talk and hear in order to communicate effectively over the phone and in person.
  • Must be able to see 100% of the time to recognize medications, detect inaccuracies, and observe the work of others.
  • This position is very active and requires standing for long periods, walking, bending, kneeling, and stooping.
  • Must be able to lift and/or transport materials weighing up to 25 pounds, up to 10% of the time.
  • Must be able to tolerate normal office/pharmacy environment and exposure to various medications.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous LTC experience is a plus, but not necessary for the right candidate.
  • IV experience a positive.

Responsibilities

  • Assist and manage pharmacy technicians as required and as necessary.
  • Assist with phone calls, as necessary.
  • Evaluate medication administration to verify that it conforms with the prescribers’ orders.
  • Adhere with all compliance requirements.
  • Comply with State Board of Pharmacy rules and regulations at all times.
  • Maintain required Continuing Education credits.
  • Maintain current licensing by the state(s) in which he/she practices.
