About The Position
Kindred Hospital Chattanooga is seeking a PRN Pharmacist, with some on-call work required. The Pharmacist manages drug therapy protocols as part of an interdisciplinary team and supports safe, accurate medication use. The role includes reviewing medication orders, providing drug information and education, documenting interventions, and checking medication orders and technician-filled prescriptions for accuracy.
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited School of Pharmacy with a Pharmacist degree.
- Pharmacy license in the State of Tennessee.
Nice To Haves
- Pharm.D. preferred.
- Experience in hospital pharmacy is desirable.
Responsibilities
- Manage drug therapy protocols as part of an interdisciplinary team.
- Review, interpret, and evaluate medication orders to identify, prevent, and resolve potential or actual drug-related problems.
- Provide drug information and education to medical staff, healthcare professionals, patients, and pharmacy students.
- Document interventions and outcomes for drug therapy quality improvement efforts.
- Evaluate medication orders for accuracy and completeness before order entry.
- Check prescriptions filled by technicians for accuracy.
