About The Position

Clinical Solutions Pharmacy is seeking a motivated, patient-focused Pharmacist to join our growing closed-door pharmacy team! This position combines sterile compounding expertise with clinical pharmacy services, regulatory compliance, and leadership in a fast-paced environment supporting infusion and specialty pharmacy patients. Clinical Solutions Pharmacy is a nationally recognized closed-door pharmacy serving more than 750 correctional facilities nationwide. Requirements

  • Knowledge of the principles, practices, standards and terminology used in the practice of pharmacy.
  • Knowledge of drug properties and usage, including the effects of drug interactions.
  • Ability to compound and dispense pharmaceutical drugs, medications, and supplies.
  • Ability to formulate and implement pharmacy policies, methods, specifications and procedures.
  • Ability to provide training to staff members.
  • Ability to evaluate drug therapy against set criteria.
  • Ability to develop program policy manuals, rules and program monitoring methodologies, techniques and plans.
  • Ability to develop and maintain a perpetual inventory control system.
  • Ability to evaluate pharmacy methods, procedures, and services.
  • Ability to plan, organize and coordinate work assignments.
  • Ability to communicate effectively.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with others.
  • Ability to monitor and coordinate clinical pharmacy services such as drug information, disease assessment, and medications management.
  • Active Florida Pharmacist license in good standing.
  • Knowledge of USP <797>, USP <800>, DEA, OSHA, and Board of Pharmacy regulations.
  • Strong communication and leadership skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with hazardous and non-hazardous sterile compounding.
  • Experience complying with USP <797> and USP <800>.
  • Home infusion, hospital, oncology, or specialty pharmacy experience preferred.
  • Previous lead pharmacist or supervisory experience preferred

Responsibilities

  • Interpret, verify, and process physician medication orders.
  • Perform and oversee sterile compounding in compliance with USP <797> and USP <800>.
  • Conduct final verification of compounded sterile preparations.
  • Review medication profiles for safety, allergies, interactions, dosing, and compatibility.
  • Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals.
  • Supervise and mentor pharmacy technicians and support staff.
  • Maintain cleanroom, aseptic technique, and environmental monitoring standards.
  • Participate in quality assurance, medication safety, audits, and continuous improvement.
  • Maintain compounding, batch, quality, and regulatory documentation.
  • Assist with inventory management, controlled substances, and pharmacy operations.
  • Support development of pharmacy policies, procedures, and staff training.
  • Participate in staff meetings and conferences.
  • Adhere to regulatory and company compliance, including OSHA, DEA, State Board of Pharmacy, and Clinical Solutions Code of Conduct, Business Ethics, Policies and Procedures.
