About The Position
Charlotte Hungerford Hospital is a 122-bed, general acute care community hospital located in Torrington, Connecticut, which serves as a regional health care resource for the 100,000 residents of Litchfield County and Northwest Connecticut. CHH offers personalized attention from an expert team of caregivers and physicians that utilize advanced technology and clinical partnerships in a convenient, safe and comfortable patient environment. Pharmacists perform functions related to the control, monitoring and dispensing of medications for all age groups of patients according to department procedures and protocols in a safe, cost effective and timely manner. Supervises medication preparation by pharmacy technicians and advises nursing personnel regarding appropriate medication administration. Pharmacists promote the rational use of medications via provision of drug information and clinical monitoring services to members of the medical community.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy
- Active Pharmacist License in the State of CT
Nice To Haves
- Doctorate in Pharmacy (Pharm.D.)
- 1 year experience in an acute care setting
