About The Position

We are seeking an experienced Pharmacist to support the day-to-day operations of a dispensing pharmacy. The Pharmacist will help ensure safe, accurate, and efficient medication processing and dispensing while supporting pharmacy management goals and maintaining compliance with all applicable regulations. This position requires strong attention to detail, sound decision-making, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced pharmacy environment.

Responsibilities

Manage daily pharmacy operations, including workflow, production goals, and deadlines.
Ensure compliance with all applicable local, state, and federal pharmacy regulations, including DEA and HIPAA requirements.
Supervise pharmacy production staff and ensure proper order entry, workflow, pharmacy security, and delivery schedules.
Review new and refill prescriptions for completeness and accuracy.
Verify the accuracy of drug packaging, labeling, and medication orders.
Prepare and/or supervise the preparation of sterile IV medications and solutions.
Assist with the ordering, receiving, handling, documentation, and storage of controlled substances.
Assist with maintaining perpetual inventory records for Schedule II medications.
Ensure the pharmacy workflow dashboard is cleared daily.
Provide evening, weekend, and holiday coverage as part of the scheduled rotation.
Maintain a safe, organized, and compliant pharmacy environment.
Follow all departmental policies related to safety, attendance, and dress code.
Perform other duties as assigned.
