About The Position

This role is responsible for ensuring the appropriate selection, dosing, administration, and dispensing of medications, including mail-order and retail pharmacy operations. The pharmacist will review and assess medication orders to identify, prevent, and resolve potential or actual drug-related problems, recommending formulary alternatives when appropriate. They will compound and dispense medications accurately, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to pharmacy standards and protocols. Additionally, the pharmacist will provide drug information, patient counseling, and education to patients, physicians, and other clinical staff, communicating with healthcare providers to support effective patient care. The role also involves overseeing pharmacy technicians and support staff in medication preparation, maintenance, and dispensing, providing pharmacy coverage as needed and assisting with training/precepting pharmacy students.

Requirements

Pharmacist obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.
Bachelor's or advanced degree in Pharmacy required.
Retail experience
