About The Position
Sanavie is seeking a Pharmacist to ensure patients receive safe, effective, and compassionate care. This role combines clinical expertise with patient counseling and pharmacy operations, ensuring accurate medication dispensing, regulatory compliance, and patient education for health management. The Pharmacist will be instrumental in upholding quality standards, guiding pharmacy staff, and collaborating with healthcare professionals to enhance patient outcomes. Technology is central to Sanavie's operations, aiming to optimize work and facilitate employee tasks.
Requirements
- Bachelor of Pharmacy or Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree.
- Active Pharmacist license in Quebec.
- Strong knowledge of pharmaceutical practices, drug interactions, and healthcare regulations.
- Excellent communication and patient counseling skills.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational abilities.
- Ability to work in both French and English (oral and written).
Responsibilities
- Review prescriptions from physicians or authorized prescribers to ensure accuracy, legality, and appropriateness.
- Provide patient counseling on drug interactions, side effects, dosage, and storage of pharmaceuticals.
- Direct and support pharmacy staff in packaging, labeling, and handling medications.
- Maintain compliance with quality assurance, controlled substances regulations, and hazardous waste disposal standards.
- Keep accurate patient and pharmacy records, including prescriptions, billing, and inventory.
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to optimize patient care.
