Requirements

• Valid pharmacist license and state pharmacy board certification
• Proven experience in a pharmacy setting, preferably in a clinical or hospital environment
• Strong knowledge of pharmacology, medication management, and safety protocols
• Excellent communication and patient counseling skills
• Ability to interpret medical prescriptions and detect potential drug interactions
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
• Compassionate and patient-focused approach to healthcare

Responsibilities

• Ensure safe, appropriate, and cost-effective medication therapies for patients
• Review and interpret physician orders to prepare medications accurately
• Detect and resolve therapeutic incompatibilities to optimize patient outcomes
• Dispense medications by compounding, packaging, and labeling pharmaceuticals
• Provide education and information to patients regarding their medication therapy
• Counsel patients on medication usage, potential side effects, and interactions
• Advise customers on medication brands, medical equipment, and healthcare supplies
• Offer specialized services to assist patients in managing conditions such as diabetes
