About The Position

Walgreens pharmacists are medication experts and trusted healthcare providers who deliver patient-focused care. The role provides pharmacy consulting to patients, educates them on medication use, side effects, and cost-effective options, and delivers clinical services such as immunizations, diagnostic testing, and medication therapy management. Pharmacists help ensure medication safety through accurate compounding and dispensing, maintain regulatory compliance, and mentor and train pharmacy team members. The position requires a BS in Pharmacy or a pharmacist degree from an accredited educational institution, current pharmacist licensure in the states within the district, and certification as an immunizer or willingness to become one within 90 days of hire. At least one year of retail pharmacist experience is required. The role remains open until filled.

Requirements

BS in Pharmacy or a pharmacist degree from an accredited educational institution.
Current pharmacist licensure in the states within the district.
Certified Immunizer or willing to become an immunizer within 90 days of hire.
At least 1 year of experience as a pharmacist in a retail setting, including prescription filling and verification, records and legal compliance, pharmacy operations, pharmacy software and technology systems, and insurance.

Responsibilities

Provide compassionate, expert-level pharmacy consulting services to patients.

Deliver clinical healthcare services, including immunizations, diagnostic testing, and medication therapy management.
