We are seeking an experienced and detail-driven Pharmacist to join our team. The Pharmacist is responsible for ensuring safe, effective, and evidence-based pharmaceutical care in compliance with federal and state regulations, hospital policies, and clinical best practices. This role plays a key part in optimizing medication therapy, supporting clinical teams, and enhancing patient outcomes.
Requirements
- Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D.) or Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy required.
- Current Texas Pharmacist license in good standing.
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills.
- Commitment to ethical standards and evidence-based practice.
- Demonstrated ability to lead diverse teams with integrity, fairness, and clinical expertise.
- Strategic thinker capable of aligning department objectives with organizational priorities.
- Exceptional communication and relationship-building skills across multidisciplinary teams.
- Analytical, data-driven decision-maker with a focus on operational efficiency and patient outcomes.
Nice To Haves
- Minimum of 2 years of hospital or clinical pharmacy experience preferred.
Responsibilities
- Review, verify, and dispense medications in accordance with prescribed orders and hospital protocols.
- Provide clinical oversight for medication use, including dosing adjustments, therapeutic drug monitoring, and adverse event prevention.
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal pharmacotherapy and patient safety.
- Counsel patients and families on proper medication use, side effects, and adherence strategies.
- Maintain accurate pharmacy records and comply with all Board of Pharmacy and regulatory requirements.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives, formulary reviews, and staff education programs.
- Stay current on clinical developments, emerging drug therapies, and best practices in pharmacy care.
