Opened in 2010, Palmdale Regional Medical Center is a 184-bed, acute care hospital located in Palmdale, CA. The Staff Pharmacist provides comprehensive pharmaceutical care through integrated drug distribution, patient counseling and teaching. Staff Pharmacists fill orders for medications, monitor patient’s drug therapies and provide drug information.

Requirements

Minimum one year previous experience required
Bachelor’s Degree in Pharmacy required
Current Pharmacist licensure in the State of California
CPI is required within 30 days of hire

Nice To Haves

One to three years hospital experience preferred
Pyxis experience with knowledge of Pyxis reports

Responsibilities

Provides comprehensive pharmaceutical care through integrated drug distribution, patient counseling and teaching
Fill orders for medications
Monitor patient’s drug therapies
Provide drug information
Supervises and directs supportive staff
In the absence of the Director of Pharmacy, a staff pharmacist may be required to assume the essential responsibilities and perform the duties of the Director of Pharmacy
