About The Position
Hospital Sisters Health System (HSHS) is seeking a Pharmacist to join their team. The role involves acting as a liaison between allied health professionals and registered nurses to ensure accurate and rational drug therapy for patients based on allied health professional orders. Responsibilities include reviewing orders for dosing accuracy, drug selection, drug interactions, allergies, and appropriateness. The Pharmacist will also serve as a medical team consultant by participating in multidisciplinary rounds, committees, and workgroups, and will provide drug information to healthcare professionals, nurses, patients, and the public.
Requirements
- Meets educational requirements established in the state of practice
- Graduate of accredited Pharmacy program; eligible for Pharmacist licensure in state of practice.
- Licensed Pharmacist in the state of practice Required or eligible for license.
Nice To Haves
- Residency preferred.
- Board Certification preferred.
Responsibilities
- Acts as liaison between allied health professionals and registered nurses in providing accurate and rational drug therapy to patients upon receipt of an allied health professional's order.
- Reviews order for dosing accuracy, drug selection, drug interactions, allergies, and appropriateness.
- Serves as a medical team consultant by participating in multidisciplinary rounds, committees, and workgroups.
- Provides drug information to allied health professionals, nurses, patients, and the general public.
