About The Position

Encompass Health is seeking a dedicated pharmacist to support safe medication use and patient well-being in inpatient rehabilitation. The pharmacist contributes to community health and rehabilitation care, helps shape pharmacy policies and clinical services, and makes management decisions and recommendations using independent judgment. The role oversees daily pharmacy operations, participates in the interdisciplinary team, and interprets, compounds, and dispenses medications in accordance with legal and professional standards.

Requirements

• Hold a pharmacy degree from a U.S.-accredited program, or from an international program evaluated by a recognized certifying agency as substantially equivalent to U.S. accreditation standards.
• Be licensed in good standing by the State Pharmacy Board for the state in which the hospital is located.

Nice To Haves

• One year of supervisory experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily pharmacy operations to meet customer and patient expectations.
• Contribute to developing pharmacy-specific policies and procedures in compliance with Joint Commission and other regulatory agency requirements.
• Participate actively in the interdisciplinary team, using relevant information to support positive patient outcomes.
• Accurately interpret, compound, and dispense medications in accordance with legal and professional pharmacy standards.
• Make management decisions and recommendations using independent judgment.
