About The Position

Vibra HealthCare is seeking a Pharmacist to join their team at Vibra Hospital of Northern California in Redding, CA. This is a 50 bed Critical Care Hospital and a 32 bed SNF providing long-term acute care services to patients recovering from serious illnesses or injuries. The hospital specializes in treating medically complex conditions such as trauma, infectious diseases, wound healing, cardiovascular disease, stroke, amputation, and ventilator weaning. The role offers an opportunity to work in a fast-paced and friendly environment where staff can get to know patients and their families.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science Degree from a College/School of Pharmacy.
  • Current, valid, and active license to practice as a Pharmacist in the state of employment.
  • Ability to project a professional image.
  • Knowledge of regulatory standards and compliance requirements.
  • Strong organizational, prioritizing, and analytical skills.
  • Ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant.
  • Working knowledge of computer and software applications used in job functions.
  • Freedom from illegal use of and effects of use of drugs and alcohol in the workplace.

Nice To Haves

  • Doctor of Pharmacy degree.
  • Experience with pharmacokinetics and anticoagulation.
  • TPN experience.
  • Current, valid and active BLS and ACLS certifications from a Vibra-approved vendor.
  • Previous acute care experience.
  • Experience with automated pharmacy dispensing.
  • Experience with IV Laminar flow hood.
  • Electronic medical records experience.

Responsibilities

  • Filling and dispensing medication orders, including proper handling, usage, and storage of drugs.
  • Maintaining departmental standards and translating policies and procedures into daily operations.
  • Acting as an information resource for patients, physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals regarding medication therapy and drug information.
  • Coordinating with medical staff and nursing to deliver quality and cost-effective drug therapies.
  • Participating in the hospital's Antibiotic Stewardship Program with a focus on patient safety and public health.
  • Demonstrating competency to provide pharmaceutical care to patients of all relevant age groups.
  • Providing leadership in the absence of the Director as assigned.
