This position oversees the operations of the Pharmacy department, relying on experience and professional judgment to plan and accomplish assigned tasks and goals. The role is responsible for the implementation and adherence to the HealthDirect Standard of Practice, ensuring the provision of the highest quality health care service to customers. Key functions include dispensing prescriptions, performing quality assurance, managing inventory, maintaining records, ensuring customer service, and upholding loss prevention policies. The Pharmacist also maintains professional relationships with healthcare providers, stays updated on industry developments, and handles patient confidentiality. Additionally, the role involves facilitating communication, working on-call schedules, and collaborating with the Facility Manager on personnel matters such as hiring, performance reviews, and disciplinary actions. Clinical functions like MTM, IMMR, short stay reviews, and delivery at discharge are also part of the responsibilities to support consultant pharmacists and maintain compliance. The Pharmacist assists in meeting budgetary sales guidelines, interfaces with auditors, and completes mandatory training programs.
