About The Position

Select Specialty Hospital - Cleveland Fairhill is a critical illness recovery hospital providing inpatient post-ICU services to chronically and critically ill patients who require extended healing and recovery. The Pharmacist provides clinical support for hospital pharmacy services in a fast-paced environment and needs working knowledge of pharmaceutical services, including drug distribution systems, central operations, and IV admixture.

Requirements

• Successfully complete all educational requirements mandated for state licensure.
• Hold current state licensure.
• Hold BLS certification if required by the state.

Nice To Haves

• PharmD, or BS Pharm plus an advanced degree, or completion of a hospital pharmacy residency.

Responsibilities

• Maintain working knowledge of pharmaceutical services, including drug distribution systems, central operations, and IV admixture.
• Provide clinical support for the hospital pharmacy function in a fast-paced environment.
• Maintain adequate drug supplies in the pharmacy.
• Inform and instruct patients on medications to use after discharge.
• Develop and participate in new employee training and education programs.
• Participate in patient drug therapy monitoring.
• Promote an environment of continuous quality improvement.
