The Pharmacist will compound and dispense medications accurately and in a timely fashion, adhering to professional standards and legal requirements. This role involves providing expert advice on medication dosage and form to healthcare professionals, maintaining quality assurance, and overseeing the secure handling of controlled substances and hazardous waste drugs. The Pharmacist will also participate in training, supervise pharmacy technicians and interns, and ensure proper aseptic technique when compounding IV medications. Responsibilities include performing monthly inspections of nursing units, managing inventory levels, and assisting the Director with special tasks. Additionally, the Pharmacist is responsible for checking and replenishing emergency boxes/trays.
