About The Position

This PRN (as needed) Pharmacist position serves four locations in Pasco County: Wesley Chapel, Hudson, Land O Lakes, and Longleaf. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 8 AM to 5 PM, with no weekend coverage required. The role offers a predictable daily workflow in an organized outpatient practice setting, emphasizing accuracy and patient care over volume pressure. It involves close collaboration with on-site providers and clinical staff in a patient-focused environment.

Requirements

BS Pharmacy or Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) from an accredited institution
Active and unrestricted Florida Pharmacist License
Strong attention to detail and a consistent commitment to patient safety
Must not be excluded from participation in federal healthcare programs

Nice To Haves

Retail pharmacy or outpatient background
Prior experience opening or launching a new pharmacy location
Rx30 pharmacy software experience
Proficiency in Microsoft Office including Outlook, Word, and Excel

Responsibilities

Maintain daily pharmacy operations with a focus on dispensing accuracy, patient safety, and workflow consistency
Verify physician orders, ensure appropriate medication dispensing, and identify therapeutic incompatibilities
Counsel patients on appropriate medication use and serve as a knowledgeable resource for providers and clinical staff
Ensure ongoing compliance with all applicable state and federal pharmacy laws and Florida Board of Pharmacy requirements
Maintain compliance with all Joint Commission accreditation standards and elements of performance
Maintain controlled substance records and ensure DEA compliance at all times
Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to safety and efficiency at the site level
Maintain infection control protocols and pharmacy safety standards
