About The Position
Walgreens pharmacists are medication experts and trusted healthcare providers who deliver patient-focused care. The Pharmacist provides pharmacy consulting and education, delivers clinical healthcare services, ensures medication safety and regulatory compliance, and mentors pharmacy team members. Requirements
- Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy or a pharmacist degree from an accredited educational institution.
- Current pharmacist licensure in the states within the district.
- Certified immunizer, or willingness to become an immunizer within 90 days of hire.
Nice To Haves
- At least 1 year of pharmacist experience in a retail setting, including prescription filling and verification, records and legal compliance, pharmacy operations, pharmacy software and technology systems, and insurance.
Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, expert-level pharmacy consulting services to patients.
- Educate and consult patients about medication use, side effects, and cost-effective options.
- Deliver clinical healthcare services, including immunizations, diagnostic testing, and medication therapy management.
- Ensure medication safety through accurate compounding and dispensing, and maintain regulatory compliance.
- Mentor and train pharmacy team members in a collaborative and supportive environment.
