The Pharmacist is responsible for implementing all pharmacy policies and procedures throughout the hospital. This role assumes responsibilities of the department in the absence of the Director. The Pharmacist must have an understanding of the functions required to provide pharmaceuticals for both inpatient and outpatient use, and be able to deliver appropriate care to patients across all age groups, from neonatal through geriatrics, with age-specific considerations. The individual is expected to stay current with professional knowledge through various methods, including professional journals, inservices, and professional meetings, and utilize drug information to enhance patient care quality. This is a safety-sensitive position, meaning impaired performance could harm the health and/or safety of self or others, and active engagement in medical marijuana use will exclude candidates from employment.
