About The Position
St. Catherine Hospital, located in Garden City, Kansas, was founded by two pioneering physicians and the Dominican Sisters, developing a thriving health care facility. Residents of Garden City enjoy life in a relaxed, small-town (population approx. 30,000) with a zoo, several parks, golf courses, modern shopping and more. The hospital values individuals with unique talents and commitment to a greater cause. This is a PRN position, requiring 5 shifts scheduled in a 6-week period, used to cover call-offs, vacations, and where coverage may be needed.
Requirements
- B.S. or Pharm.D degree
- HS GED
- Licensed PHARM in Kansas or pursuing one
Nice To Haves
- One year experience as a pharmacist preferred
Responsibilities
- Implement medication use activity and clinical services designed by the Director
- Implement cost containment measures involving drug utilization in the hospital
- Ensure accurate and appropriate dispensing of medications
- Ensure accurate documentation
- Provide accurate and complete drug information
- Provide staff and physician education as appropriate
