About The Position

Stop & Shop is seeking a pharmacist to support its community pharmacy services. The pharmacist processes and verifies prescriptions, counsels patients on medications, administers immunizations and other permitted health services, and oversees daily pharmacy operations in compliance with applicable laws and safety standards. The role also contributes to pharmacy growth and community outreach, protects confidential information, supports and mentors pharmacy team members, and works with store and pharmacy leadership to meet operational goals. The position requires a varied schedule that may include evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Requirements

Degree from an accredited school of pharmacy.
Active pharmacist license and immunization certification in good standing with the state board.
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
Comprehensive understanding of federal and state pharmacy regulations.
Strong communication, leadership, and customer service skills.
Commitment to confidentiality, professionalism, and community care.
Flexibility to work a varied schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

Accurately process and verify prescriptions in accordance with state and federal laws, ethical standards, and company policies.
Counsel patients about prescription and over-the-counter medications.
Connect patients, healthcare providers, and the local community.
Ensure the confidentiality and security of patient and company information.
Support pharmacy growth initiatives and community outreach efforts.
Oversee daily pharmacy operations and ensure compliance with regulatory and safety standards.
Administer immunizations and provide other health services as permitted by state law.
Coach, mentor, and support pharmacy technicians and other team members.
Collaborate with store and pharmacy leadership to achieve operational goals.
