Pharmacists are to provide pharmacy services such as filling prescriptions, compounding and dispensing pharmaceuticals, counseling patients as well as medical practitioners regarding medicines. Pharmacists are responsible to ensure safe, proper, and cost-effective usage of medicines. This role also involves supporting Variety Care’s accreditation as a Patient Centered Medical Home and commitment to providing care that is Safe, Effective, Patient Centered, Timely, Efficient, and Equitable. The pharmacist will provide leadership and work with staff to achieve the goals of the “Triple Aim” of healthcare reform—to improve the experience of care, improve health outcomes, and decrease healthcare costs. The ideal candidate will embody personal character, be an open and honest communicator with high moral and ethical conduct, integrity, adaptability, and sound judgment. They must be a leader in the department and community, a result-oriented problem solver who is responsible and accountable.
