About The Position
Exciting opportunity for an experienced Part Time Staff Pharmacist to work in the Whatley Health Services community healthcare center onsite pharmacy. This is a unique and rewarding opportunity for a pharmacist with a retail pharmacy background and an active AL pharmacist license. In this integrated model, the Pharmacy Team will work closely with providers and clinic staff collaboratively, providing team-based medicine with a strong pharmacy component to provide optimal care for patients. VytlOne (Formerly Maxor National Pharmacy Services,) headquartered in Amarillo, TX, will manage the pharmacy. The Pharmacy Manager, a VytlOne employee, is a competent, dynamic leader who is responsible for the coordination of patient services within the pharmacy and supervision of pharmacy staff.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree, or Pharm. D., from an approved school of pharmacy and registration by the state board of licensure.
- Licensed to practice pharmacy in Alabama
- One-year experience as a practicing pharmacist is preferred
- Knowledge of drugs and their indications, contraindications, dosing, side effects, and proper administration.
- Ability to communicate technical information to non-technical personnel.
- Knowledge of polices and regulations pertaining to the disbursement of pharmaceutical drugs.
- Ability to maintain quality, safety, and/or infection control standards.
- Ability to supervise and train assigned staff.
- Skill in the use of personal computers and related software applications.
- Ability to assume essential responsibilities and duties in the absence of the Pharmacy Manager
Responsibilities
- Performing all of the dispensing duties of a pharmacist
- Ensuring all customers receive safe and accurate dispensing
- Adhering to all State and Federal Pharmacy laws regarding the dispensing of medications, record keeping, etc.
- Expanding and enhancing clinical services in the ambulatory care setting including MTM
