About The Position

This role is located at Ascension St. Vincent's Southside Hospital in the Critical Care Pharmacy department. The schedule is rotating and full-time. The pharmacist will assure patient safety and care quality by meticulously reviewing medication orders to identify, prevent, and resolve potential drug-related problems. They will optimize patient outcomes by collaborating with physicians to recommend appropriate formulary alternatives and providing expert drug information to the medical team. The role also involves overseeing and mentoring pharmacy technical personnel in the preparation and accurate dispensing of medications, ensuring compliance with all regulatory standards. Additionally, the pharmacist will educate and counsel patients on their medication therapies, promoting effective and safe use for better health outcomes, and facilitate seamless clinical operations by ensuring the appropriate selection, dosing, and dispensing of all medication orders.

Requirements

Licensed Pharmacist credentialed from the Florida Board of Pharmacy required. licensure or eligible.
Bachelor's or advanced degree in Pharmacy required.
