About The Position

Select Specialty Hospital Grand Rapids is a critical illness recovery hospital located on the 5th floor of Corewell Health Blodgett Hospital in Grand Rapids, Michigan. The hospital is dedicated to providing world-class inpatient post-ICU services to chronic, critically ill patients who require extended healing and recovery. Pharmacists play a central role in delivering compassionate, excellent care to these patients during vulnerable moments. The position is PRN/Per Diem, offering a pay rate of $62.00 per hour with competitive shift differentials for nights and weekends. The hospital offers an extensive orientation program for new hires and potential for full-time opportunities based on demonstrated skills and dedication. Benefits are available to support the financial, work/life, and emotional well-being of employees and their families, with Part-time/Per Diem positions eligible for 401k based on reaching 1,000 hours within their first anniversary or subsequent calendar year. Requirements

  • Requires successful completion of all educational requirements as mandated for state licensure.
  • Current State licensure required.
  • BLS if required by State.

Nice To Haves

  • Pharm D or BS Pharm plus advanced degree or completion of hospital pharmacy residency.

Responsibilities

  • Having a working knowledge of all areas of pharmaceutical services including drug distribution systems, central operations and IV admixture.
  • Providing clinical support of the hospital pharmacy function in a fast paced environment.
  • Maintaining adequate drug supplies at the pharmacy at all times.
  • Correctly informing and instructing patients on any drugs to be used after they are discharged.
  • Developing and participating in new employee training and education programs.
  • Participating in patient drug therapy monitoring.
  • Promoting an environment of continuous quality improvement.
