About The Position
Rural hospital located several hundred miles northwest of Anchorage, AK seeking a full-time, Pharmacist to join their team. Enjoy 208 hours of PTO per year in addition to 13 paid holidays and 5 additional days of subsistence leave. Receive $1,500 paid monthly to assist with living expenses.
Requirements
- Must be a licensed Pharmacist
- Lift or carry unaided less than 25 pounds
Nice To Haves
- 2 year(s) Preferred or 1 year of post graduate residency working as a Pharmacist or pharmacist intern, preferably in a hospital setting
Responsibilities
- Order verification
- monitor drug therapies and patient labs
- sterile product compounding and oversight
- provide drug information to nurses and physicians
- counsel patients on their discharge medications
- renal dose adjustments based on protocol
- Provide drug information to nurses and physicians in the primary care center
- proactive chart reviews
- pharmacist refill authorization per protocol
- anticoagulation services
- adult and pediatric vaccinations
- Chart reviews
- medication consultations
- prescription preparations and medisets
