About The Position

Under the supervision of the Director, Clinical Pharmacy Coordinator, the Staff Pharmacist is responsible for the safe, accurate, and rational distribution and utilization of pharmaceutical agents to patients of all ages. This shall be carried out in accordance with all state/federal laws, Joint Commission Standards, and hospital/departmental policies and procedures. The Staff Pharmacist verifies/proposes medication orders in electronic health record. WBMC offers general medical and surgical care, orthopedics, a robotic surgery program, a state-of-the art breast imaging center, womens and childrens services and the only level III NICU in southern Palm Beach County. Requirements

• Must be a licensed Pharmacist.
• Ability to work rotating shifts.
• Familiarity with electronic health records.

• Experience in a hospital setting.
• Knowledge of Joint Commission Standards.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for the safe, accurate, and rational distribution and utilization of pharmaceutical agents to patients of all ages.
• Ensure all activities are in accordance with state/federal laws, Joint Commission Standards, and hospital/departmental policies and procedures.
• Verify/propose medication orders in electronic health record.
