Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in pharmacy, professional pharmacy degree, or a related field, or equivalent experience required.
  • 2+ years of experience in pharmacy, specialty pharmacy, healthcare operations, or a related field required.

Nice To Haves

  • Certification in active pharmacist licensure, specialty-related certification, clinical board certification, or equivalent preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Communicates with internal teams, prescriber offices, payers, patients, and approved external contacts to obtain required information, clarify documentation, and resolve routine to moderately complex issues.
  • Executes specialty pharmacy activities such as documentation review, benefits-related support, medication access support, and case follow-up in accordance with established procedures.
  • Prioritizes and resequences assigned work to meet daily service-level, quality, and turnaround expectations.
  • Reviews referrals, forms, case details, and supporting documentation to validate completeness, reconcile discrepancies, and support accurate processing.
  • Escalates atypical, urgent, or threshold-breach cases with clear documentation, relevant context, and recommended next steps.
  • Applies job aids, checklists, privacy requirements, and quality standards to support accurate outputs, reliable handoffs, and audit readiness.
