Pharmacist, Retail PD - Retail Pharmacy - Vineland
About The Position
Under the supervision of the Retail Pharmacy Manager, this role is responsible for appropriately dispensing medications written by licensed medical personnel and providing information to customers regarding their prescription or over-the-counter medications. In addition to supporting the Pharmacy Manager in leading and directing your Pharmacy Technician Support Staff, you are accountable for supporting the management, oversight and operation of all aspects within your pharmacy. This includes interpreting physicians’ prescriptions and compounds, dispensing medications pursuant to regulatory guidelines, consulting with customers regarding medication use and potential drug interactions and handling complex problem resolution.
Requirements
- Graduate of a College or School of Pharmacy accredited by the American Council on Pharmaceutical Education with a minimum of a bachelor’s degree.
- Retail Pharmacy experience required.
- NJ Division of Consumer Affairs Immunization Pharmacist Certification required.
- Certified Immunization Pharmacist in the State of New Jersey.
- AHA Basic Life Support required.
- Able to lift 30 lbs.
- Able to stand for long periods of time.
- Mental capacity to speak clearly and perform job responsibilities.
Nice To Haves
- ASHP Residency or master’s degree desirable.
- National certification in a specialized area recognized by the Board of Pharmacy Specialties (BPS) preferred.
