About The Position

Vibra Healthcare is seeking a PRN Pharmacist to join their team at Vibra Hospital of SE Michigan - Taylor Campus. This is a 40-bed Critical Care Hospital located in Taylor, MI, providing acute care services for patients recovering from serious illnesses or injuries. The hospital specializes in treating medically complex conditions such as trauma, infectious diseases, wound healing, cardiovascular disease, stroke, amputation, and ventilator weaning. The role offers an opportunity to work in a fast-paced, friendly environment where staff can build strong relationships with patients and their families.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science Degree from a College/School of Pharmacy required.
  • Current, valid, and active license to practice as a Pharmacist in the state of employment required.
  • Freedom from illegal use of and effects of use of drugs and alcohol in the workplace.

Nice To Haves

  • Doctor of Pharmacy degree preferred.
  • Experience with pharmacokinetics and anticoagulation preferred.
  • TPN experience preferred.
  • Current, valid and active BLS and ACLS certifications from a Vibra-approved vendor preferred.
  • Previous acute care experience preferred.
  • Electronic medical records experience preferred.
  • Ability to project a professional image.
  • Knowledge of regulatory standards and compliance requirements.
  • Strong organizational, prioritizing and analytical skills.
  • Ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant.
  • Working knowledge of computer and software applications used in job functions.

Responsibilities

  • Filling and dispensing medication orders, including proper handling, usage, and storage of drugs.
  • Maintaining departmental standards and translating policies and procedures into daily operations.
  • Serving as an information resource for patients, physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals regarding medication therapy and drug information.
  • Coordinating with medical staff and nursing to deliver quality and cost-effective drug therapies.
  • Participating in the hospital's Antibiotic Stewardship Program with a focus on patient safety and public health.
  • Demonstrating competency to provide pharmaceutical care to patients of all relevant age groups.
  • Providing leadership in the absence of the Director as assigned.
