About The Position
Southcoast Health is seeking a per diem Oncology Pharmacist based at the Oncology clinic in Fairhaven, Massachusetts. The pharmacist must be willing to work across all Southcoast Oncology Clinic sites as needed to provide coverage. Under the direction of the Manager, Pharmacy Oncology or designee, this role provides professional services related to the clinical review and dispensing of outpatient chemotherapy. The pharmacist serves as a resource to nurses, physicians, and other clinicians caring for hematology, oncology, and other patients at Southcoast Centers for Cancer Care. The role includes work on clinical trials, technical direction and supervision of assigned personnel, and communication with patients and healthcare professionals to optimize medication therapy. The day shift is listed as 7:00 a.m.–4:30 p.m., variable. Pay is $55.24–$69.56 per hour, determined based on experience.
Requirements
- Bachelor of Science degree in Pharmacy.
- Registered Pharmacist licensed by the Massachusetts Board of Registration in Pharmacy.
- Experience working in a USP 797/800 environment.
- Must be fully vaccinated against seasonal influenza and COVID-19, or qualify for an exemption by signing a statement certifying the choice to be exempt from vaccination once hired.
Nice To Haves
- Previous oncology experience.
- One year of related experience; consideration is also given to new graduates.
- Board Certification in Oncology Pharmacy.
Responsibilities
