About The Position

Regions Hospital is looking for a highly motivated Clinical Pharmacist experienced in Mental Health to provide pharmaceutical care and clinical expertise to patients on our inpatient mental health services and in our long-acting injectable (LAI) clinic. The ideal candidate for this position will provide comprehensive pharmacotherapy management for patients with psychiatric conditions and substance use disorders. This role collaborates closely with interdisciplinary teams to optimize medication outcomes, improve patient safety, and support recovery-oriented, patient-centered care.

Requirements

  • Graduate of an ACPE-accredited School of Pharmacy with a PharmD or BS in Pharmacy
  • Currently functioning in a decentralized capacity (comparable role), or Completion of a Post-Doctorate Pharmacy Program (i.e., residency or fellowship, e.g., American Society of Health System Pharmacists [ASHP] accredited PGY1 or PGY2 pharmacy residency), or BPS Board Certification (e.g., Board Certified Pharmacotherapy Specialist)
  • Current license to practice pharmacy in the State of Minnesota

Nice To Haves

  • Post-graduate training and/or BPS Board Certification in area of specialty.
  • Licensed preceptor with MN Board of Pharmacy is preferred for any pharmacist roles that will precept students and interns.

Responsibilities

  • Teaching and precepting.
  • Verifying orders.
  • Completing appropriate medication history.
  • Dispensing medications and related supplies.
  • Monitoring patient medication therapies.
  • Providing drug information to healthcare providers.
  • Overseeing the work of direct support personnel.
