The Lead Pharmacist at Gifthealth is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the pharmacy department. This role involves managing pharmacy staff, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards, and maintaining high levels of patient care and service. The Lead Pharmacist will work closely with the pharmacy team to optimize workflow, enhance efficiency, and ensure the accurate dispensing of medications.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Pharmacy Supervisor or a similar managerial role in a pharmacy setting.
  • Strong leadership and organizational skills with a passion for delivering high-quality patient care.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with patients, healthcare providers, and pharmacy staff.
  • In-depth knowledge of pharmacy operations and legal regulations.
  • Licensed Pharmacist in the state of Ohio, with a Pharm.D. or equivalent qualification.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a pharmacy setting, with significant supervisory experience.
  • Must be able to stand for at least 4 hours at a time while working.
  • Must be able to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds occasionally and 10–15 pounds frequently.
  • Must perform repetitive motions throughout an entire shift, including bending, reaching, lifting, handling medications, and scanning products.
  • Must be able to work onsite for all scheduled shifts in a fast-paced pharmacy operations environment.
  • Must be able to visually verify prescription information, medication labels, and computer screens for extended periods.
  • Must be able to communicate clearly with team members, providers, and patients in person and via phone or electronic systems.
  • Must be able to operate pharmacy technology, dispensing equipment, and computer systems for the duration of assigned shifts.
  • Must be able to move throughout the pharmacy workspace to supervise workflow, support staff, and ensure operational efficiency.
