Requirements

• Current license as a registered Pharmacist from the Nevada State Board of Pharmacy required.
• Previous hospital experience is preferred and should include knowledge of unit dose drug distribution, IV additive service, computer drug entry and profiles, and clinical experience as outlined.
• Ability to work effectively and tactfully with pharmacy, nursing, medical staff, and other hospital personnel preferred.
• Certification in infectious disease and/or equivalent experience required.

Responsibilities

• Under the supervision of the Director of Pharmacy, coordinates the activities of pharmacy department to provide the highest quality of pharmaceutical services to the patient.
• The scope of patient care provided includes General Medicine/Surgical, Intensive Care Services, Obstetrics & Gynecology, Pediatrics, Emergency Care, Geriatrics and Outpatient Services.
• Is responsible for the development and implantation of a facility-wide antibiotic stewardship program.
