Due to growth, we are adding a Pharmacist II, Clinical Operations to our team. The Pharmacist II, Clinical Operations will be responsible for performing telephonic consultations with patients regarding the use of their specialty medication and management of their disease state. They will perform medication reconciliation, screen for potential drug interactions, and provide side effect management recommendations. Another main duty of this role will include a high volume of product verification to ensure accuracy of orders prior to shipment. The Pharmacist II, Clinical Operations can expect to interpret prescribers’ prescriptions, contact prescribers and/or patients to verify information on prescriptions, and expedite the processing of orders. The individual in this position will be expected to meet department production metrics and service levels, support quality standards, resolve patient issues, and vary work priorities and activities to accommodate business needs. The Pharmacist II, Clinical Operations is expected to train less experienced pharmacists, mentor pharmacy experiential learners (interns/students/residents), and act as a knowledgeable resource for the Clinical Operations team regarding complex workflow processes and problem solving. The individual in this position should have extensive clinical knowledge of specialty pharmacy disease states and medications, be able to solve complex problems by taking a new perspective using existing solutions, work independently with minimal guidance, and represent the organization using patient-centered care to enhance the patient experience.
