About The Position

This is a Casual status also known as Per Diem position at Scripps Green Hospital. The shifts are 10.25 hours and vary depending on the shift scheduled but could start as early as 0600 or as late as 1030. Also some weekends, evenings and holidays are needed. Requirements

  • BS Pharmacy or Pharm.D. Degree
  • California Pharmacist License
  • AHA BLS
  • ACLS certification required prior to being trained to respond to codes, can be obtained within 6 months of hire

Nice To Haves

  • PGY1 residency or 3 years' experience in relevant practice area.

Responsibilities

  • Primarily operation focused centrally based; participates in direct patient care as clinical competencies are approved and on approved shifts.
  • Documents the care provided to patients.
  • Supervises the drug distribution operation: responsible for assuring safe and effective alternatives as appropriate.
  • Contributes to the accomplishment of initiatives to improve the cost-effectiveness of drug therapy.
  • Routinely communicates with physicians, nurses and patients regarding drug therapy.
  • Demonstrates ability to provide age-specific patient care as established for area and job title.
  • Demonstrates ability to perform competencies and prescription authorities as approved by the medical staff.
