About The Position

This is a full-time position with variable shifts, and the role will float between sites. It includes a $4,000 retention incentive and $3,000 relocation assistance for eligible new hires. As a member of the float team, you will fill vital roles across the system, providing critical coverage for employee leave, sick calls, and peak service demands, while gaining experience in various environments. Requirements

  • BS Pharmacy or Pharm.D. Degree.
  • California Pharmacist License
  • AHA BLS for the health care provider and ACLS certifications required prior to being trained to respond to codes.

Nice To Haves

  • PGY1 residency or 3 years' experience in relevant practice area.

Responsibilities

  • Primarily operation focused centrally based; participates in direct patient care as clinical competencies are approved and on approved shifts.
  • Documents the care provided to patients.
  • Supervises the drug distribution operation: responsible for assuring safe and effective alternatives as appropriate.
  • Routinely communicates with physicians, nurses and patients regarding drug therapy.
  • Contributes to the accomplishment of initiatives to improve the cost-effectiveness of drug therapy.
  • Demonstrates ability to provide age-specific patient care as established for area and job title.
  • Demonstrates ability to perform competencies and perform activities as outlined in Pharmacist Authorities policy.
  • Works variable shifts, including weekends, evenings, and overnights as staffing needs require. Being able to work the night shift is a fundamental duty and an essential function of many of the clinical pharmacy positions.
