The Pharmacist-Clinical at Pelham Medical Center is responsible for customer satisfaction, supervising and managing shift personnel and physical resources, assuring accurate dispensing of pharmaceuticals, engaging in QC/PI activities, and exemplifying pharmaceutical care ideals. This role requires a BS in Pharmacy/Pharm.D. and prior experience in health system pharmacy, including computer systems applications. The ideal candidate will have 2-3 years as a Health System Pharmacist with both distributive and clinical/decentralized duties, or have completed an ASHP accredited PGY1 residency (or be eligible). A current license (or eligibility) to practice pharmacy in S.C. is required. The pharmacist will follow policies, comply with regulatory agencies, direct staff, manage workload, complete formulary substitutions, initiate follow-up on problem areas, participate in departmental and hospital activities, complete competencies for IV medications and sterile compounding, exercise professional judgment in communicating with healthcare team members, and provide clinical dosing/monitoring services.
