Our pharmacy offers opportunities to perform clinical pharmacy services for patients in various departments of the hospital, including ICU, PCU/Cardiac, and the Emergency Department. Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree at minimum
• Pharmacy license active in North Carolina
• Basic Life Support certification is required within 30 days of hire.
• ACLS and PALS are required within six months of hire.

Nice To Haves

• Doctoral degree is preferred
• One year of experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Manages drug therapy protocols as a part of an interdisciplinary team.
• Reviews, interprets and evaluates medication orders to identify, prevent and resolve potential or actual drug related problems.
• Provides drug information and education to medical staff, healthcare professionals, and patients, and pharmacy students.
• Documents interventions and their outcomes for use in drug therapy quality improvement efforts.
• Evaluates medication orders for accuracy and completeness prior to order entry.
• Checks for accuracy after filling by technicians.
