This role involves approving the ordering of medications, compounding, preparation, and dispensing of medications in accordance with state and federal laws. The Pharmacist will also supervise pharmacy technicians, resolve medication order problems, maintain accurate patient profiles, and communicate effectively with hospital staff. Additionally, the position requires participation in quality assurance processes, clinical practice by interacting with healthcare professionals and patients, monitoring patient populations, recommending therapy adjustments, documenting clinical activities, and educating staff and patients. The role also includes performing "charge pharmacist" duties when scheduled, which involves coordinating resources, problem-solving, and resolving staff conflicts. Other duties as assigned.
